Introduction
SEAMS LLC ("SEAMS," "we," "us," or "our") operates seamssocial.com and the SEAMS mobile application (the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information about you when you use the Platform.
SEAMS is committed to protecting the privacy of all users, especially minors. Because the Platform is available to users as young as 11 years old, we have implemented specific protections for children in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and applicable state laws.

1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Account information: name, email address, username, password, date of birth, role (player, scout, coach, fan, team)
- Profile information: position(s), graduation year, school, height, weight, GPA (optional), jersey number, club team, state, bio
- Athletic statistics: pitching stats, hitting stats, speed measurements, arm strength, showcase results (self-reported or imported)
- Video content: highlight clips and other video you upload to the Platform
- Communications: messages you send to other users through the Platform
- Payment information: if you purchase premium features, payment is processed by a third-party payment processor. SEAMS does not store your full payment card information.
- Parent or guardian information: for users under 13, the email address of the parent or guardian who provides verifiable consent
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device information: device type, operating system, browser type, unique device identifiers
- Usage data: pages viewed, features used, videos watched, search queries, time spent on the Platform
- Log data: IP address, access times, referring URLs
- Location data: approximate location based on IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location without your explicit permission.

1.3 Information From Third Parties
- If you sign in with Apple ID or Google, we receive your name and email address from that service
- If you import statistics from GameChanger or other platforms, we receive the data you choose to import
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account
- Operate and improve the Platform
- Display your profile, videos, and statistics to other users as described in the Platform
- Enable scouts and coaches to discover and contact players through the Platform
- Send you notifications about Platform activity (new followers, video likes, scout bookmarks)
- Send you administrative communications (account updates, security alerts, policy changes)
- Process payments for premium features
- Monitor for safety issues, including screening messages involving minors
- Enforce our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines
- Comply with legal obligations
- Analyze usage patterns to improve the Platform
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use personal information from users under 13 for targeted advertising.
3. How We Share Your Information
3.1 With Other Users
Information on your public profile (name, username, position, school, graduation year, statistics you choose to display, videos you post) is visible to other Platform users according to your privacy settings. Your contact information and precise location are never displayed publicly.
3.2 With Service Providers
We share information with third-party vendors who help us operate the Platform, including:
- Cloud storage and hosting providers
- Video processing and streaming providers
- Email and notification services
- Analytics providers
- Payment processors
- Content moderation tools
All service providers are required to protect your information and use it only to provide services to SEAMS.
3.3 For Legal Reasons
We may disclose your information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to: (a) comply with applicable law or legal process; (b) protect the rights, property, or safety of SEAMS, our users, or the public; or (c) respond to a verified request from law enforcement or other government authority.
3.4 Business Transfers
If SEAMS is acquired, merged with, or sold to another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
4. COPPA — Children Under 13
4.1 Verifiable Parental Consent
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If a user indicates during registration that they are under 13, we will:
- Pause account creation and require a parent or guardian email address
- Send a consent request to the parent or guardian with a description of our data practices
- Not activate the account until we receive verifiable parental consent
4.2 What We Collect From Children Under 13
With verifiable parental consent, we collect only the information necessary to provide the Platform:
- Name and username
- Email address (the parent's email for account communications)
- Date of birth
- Athletic profile information (position, school, graduation year, statistics)
- Video content uploaded by the child
We do not use personal information from users under 13 for targeted advertising, and we do not share it with third parties except as necessary to operate the Platform or as required by law.
4.3 Parental Rights
Parents and legal guardians have the right to:
- Review the personal information we have collected about their child
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of their child's account and all associated data
- Withdraw consent and stop further collection of their child's information

5. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Platform. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.
Video content associated with a deleted account will be removed from the Platform. We may retain anonymized usage data that cannot be linked back to you.
6. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure. However, no security system is impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.

7. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies on our website (seamssocial.com) to remember your preferences, analyze usage, and improve the Platform. You can control cookie settings through your browser settings.
We do not use cookies to track minors for advertising purposes.

You can control your privacy settings within the Platform, including:
- Making your profile public or private
- Choosing which statistics are visible to scouts and coaches
- Controlling who can send you direct messages
- Opting out of certain notifications

9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information.

10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
